The Red Cable Base is a cable/ conduit mounting base, which is suitable for use with Red Smoke Alarms R240 and R240RC 240V smoke alarms. This product must be installed by a licensed electrician. Failure to install correctly can result in a fatal shock or fire hazard. Two side knockout for easy cable or conduit surface mount, the knockout space is 20x22 mm. One internal knockout for ceiling internal mount, the knockoutspace is 17x42 mm. A plastic cover is provided to prevent any exposure of cablesand wires. WARNING: The product must be used with one of the abovesmoke alarms as per these instructions - otherwise the product will not comply with the mandatory safety regulations.
